SUMMER JAMZ

Hey Sweet Friends!

Long time no talk. Sorry. Been busy doing a bunch of movie stuff and producing some other folks’ records which is fun. But there is some Fruit Bats live business on the horizon for you.

I’ll be playing some Robyn Hitchcock tunes at the Fillmore in SF on May 2nd with an INSANE lineup   including the man himself… It’s a celebration of RH’s 60th b-day. Did I mention the lineup is rad?

Then, I’ll be playing a show with my good pal Andy Cabic of Vetiver at The Chapel  in SF on May 8th, it’s Andy and I playing all your favorite Vetiver/Fruit Bats hits plus some choice covers with an all star Bay Area lineup. We’ll be following that show up with the same deal at the Mother Hips’ awesome Hipnic  in Big Sur on May 11th.

Later in the summer, the full wrath of Fruit Bats will be unleashed upon Carnation, WA at the brand-spankin’ new Timber Festival (on July 27th.)

Also a small handful of new Fruit Bats shows that we’ll let you in on very soon… Mouthfuls 10 Year anniversary shows this year. Yep!

Love you,

EDJ

“Smashed” at Sundance

Hey, if you’re at Sundance, check out director James Ponsoldt’s film “Smashed.” I had the pleasure of composing and performing the score alongside my dear friend Andy Cabic of Vetiver, and it’s our first collaboration! The movie, incidentally, is a real beauty… Here are the vital details.  xoxo EDJ
